WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK AT MDS?
The Customer Relationship Management function is responsible for developing our accounts through management of a long term sustainable relationship.
These accounts include O2, BT Retail and Global Services, Vodafone and TalkTalk Business. Our goal is to achieve and exceed targets and generate additional revenue.
The Customer Relationship Manager role comes with accountability for each assigned account and this means that the role is high profile, empowering but also results orientated. Through our Customer Satisfaction programme, the Customer Relationship Manager has the feedback data required to understand what is working well, what is not working so well and create targeted Account Plans ultimately creating a platform for growth.
Life as a Customer Relationship Manager at MDS
The CRM role within MDS is both challenging and rewarding. The CRM is responsible and accountable for developing the customer account, identifying and driving opportunities to optimise revenue growth while ensuring that the customer is receiving an excellent level of service and they consider MDS to be value adding.
The role facilitates personal development, providing many opportunities to enhance existing or learn new skill sets. Regular discussions with customers regarding contracts, software enhancements, acquiring of new products and utilisation of MDS professional services, enables the development of communication and negotiation skills at all levels which is paramount to becoming a successful CRM.
Being commercially aware ensures that you consider impacts across the account when decisions are being made both internally and externally and assists with maintaining and building relationships with customers. This also helps you to input into and drive new pricing initiatives when creating proposals.
Exposure to MDS and customer products provides insight and knowledge of the technologies being utilised and what capabilities are available within each product set. Such knowledge can be beneficial when explaining the value of products and services to customers.
