Life as a Senior Pre Sales Consultant at MDS

Project Management within MDS is very challenging yet rewarding. The role requires a driven & focused multi-tasker to lead the project team in delighting our customers, whether the customer is internal (Product) or external (MDS customer base).   As Project Managers, we assume overall responsibility and accountability for the project deliverables ensuring that the team maintain a shared vision of the goal.

We are required to be a Manager, a Team Leader, a Problem Solver, Negotiator, and excellent Communicator! Management reporting is a key aspect of the job and requires a heavy focus on the project budget/financial performance as well as delivery.

The Project Management team within MDS are central to all other areas of the business. We may be required one day, to assist Sales or Pre-Sales with a potential new opportunity, work closely with the Customer Relationship or Operational Management teams to develop Work Packages for existing customers or MDS product sponsors, act as an escalation point for the Managed Service team when post project support is required and in general, ensuring & encouraging team work across the organisation by engaging representative from each area of the business in active projects to demonstrate organisation and alignment within MDS and to ensure we make the most of our best asset - our people and their experience. We are the experts in our field.

Project Management is not for anyone looking for a 9-5 job! It requires a flexible approach to successfully manage the varied customer base who are across different time zones and continents and to maximise the most from our own team, leading by example and supporting the team in whatever challenges we may face next.
